A FAMILY LEGACY ON THE EVANS RIVER
WHERE HERITAGE MEETS MODERN COMFORT
Lovingly owned by the same family for almost 30 years, this charming holiday home has become a treasured part of Evans Head’s accommodation scene. Nestled by the tranquil Evans River, the property has welcomed holidaymakers for decades, providing a peaceful sanctuary in one of the most picturesque spots in the region.
The family’s connection to Evans Head runs deep. They are proud descendants of Captain Tom Paddon, who founded the township. This rich legacy spans generations, with Captain Tom Paddon establishing Evans Head and his son Jim—who is the grandfather of the current owners—continuing the family’s story here. Despite moving away, Evans Head has always held a special place in the family’s heart.
The property has always been a holiday rental, offering a warm, welcoming space for families, couples, and travellers. After the 2022 floods, it was lovingly restored, preserving its unique character while introducing modern comforts. Today, guests continue to enjoy the serene riverside setting, just as many have before.
With great care and pride, the family ensures this beloved home remains a cherished part of Evans Head, offering memorable stays for guests year after year.
